Case Study: Enterprise Rebrand at UHC

As a Senior UX/UI Designer at United Healthcare, I was responsible for continuing and expanding design efforts across several large-scale healthcare platforms.

My work focused on rebranding UMR.com and its mobile apps, adapting the design system for GEHA.com, and developing interactive prototypes to support enterprise sales demos, most notably for a City of New York client opportunity impacting over 100,000 users.

Challenges

United Healthcare was undergoing a brand refresh for its digital platforms, starting with UMR.com and associated apps.

At the same time, they were tasked with redesigning GEHA.com, a key government health insurance site, using the existing UMR design system as a base.

Additionally, the sales and marketing teams needed safe, clickable prototypes of sensitive health tools to showcase to prospective enterprise clients, including the City of New York.

Task

I was responsible for redesigning user experiences across web and mobile platforms, customizing and expanding our Figma design system for GEHA, and delivering fully interactive prototypes for enterprise demo environments.

A major priority was completing a realistic prototype for the City of New York demo in under a week, supporting a deal that could open access to over 100,000 users.
